The Glitch Mob Mix for The Hype Machine

This is a 2010 top songs list - of sorts. It features Nelly Furtado's Turn Off The Lights for one, and I wouldn't necessarily say that these are the top ten songs of 2010, and this is far from the musical style seen on their last mixtape, but what the hell. The mix was made for The Hype Machine, the famous music blog aggregator, using a list of 50 of the most blogged/most loved songs of the year. It's a good mix, including the likes of Kanye West, Swedish House Mafia, Deadmau5, and Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, so you've got a bit of everything. Enjoy.

Kanye West - Power
Nelly Furtado - Turn off the light
Lupe Fiasco - The show goes on
Edward sharpe and the magnetic zeros - Home (RAC Mix)
Miike Snow - Silvia
Swedish House Mafia - ONE
deadmau5 - Some Chords
..
Oh Land - Son of a Gun
La Roux - In for the Kill (Glitch Mob Edit)

Swedish House Mafia - NYE Party sets + downloads

2010 was the year of SHM. Two huge singles as a group, and countless others released individually set the SHM apart from the rest of the music world. Worldwide gigs, their second straight summer headlining Monday nights at Pacha Ibiza, and their feature documentary were all huge factors to their success. And to finish off the end of 2010 for SHM, although a bit late, are the NYE sets. Instead of coming together as a trio, the decided to split and spread the love; Steve Angello taking on NYC, Sebastien Ingrosso joining Mr White, Funkagenda and Fedde Le Grand in Germany for Sensation, and Axwell heading off to Dubai. I can't find the Axwell set anywhere except on random YouTube videos, so instead we've got his end of November set from Liv in Miami, no worries.
**A few things to notice: Steve Angello track number 8, possibly the preview of a new SHM track. Also, there are five unidentified tracks in the set, which are possibly upcoming releases from Size Records.

Download links below and Read More for the full tracklists.
Sebastian Ingrosso - NYE - Sensation Dusseldorf - 31-12-2010

Steve Angello - NYE - Roseland Ballroom, New York City - 31-12-2010

Axwell - NYE - Liv, Miami - 26-11-2010

Dubstep - HULK

Have you heard of the Hulk? Sure you have. But not this one. "Hulk is a collaboration of Claw & Richie August, two creative minds that share a similar production style and enthusiasm for heavy bass driven music. After meeting at the 2009 Winter Music Conference in Miami, they began to send files back and forth to collaborate on projects in Dubstep, Hip Hop and Electro."  Hulk is the coolest new thing to come out of NYC with regards to electronic music, and their heavy focus on dubstep will appeal to many. The production is great, and the fact that Hulk has been going on for less than two years is all the more impressive. Big things on the way for Hulk.
Enjoy this set:

Bassment Jaxx - Wheres yo head at (HULKS Rave Monster Remix) by Hulk
This duo is definitely on the list of ones to watch for the future, and I wouldn't be surprised if they were headlining London's Fabric in a few years.

New Releases + free downloads from Chris Lake

Chris Lake, of London and Toolroom Knights fame, has uploaded two freebies for his fans. They're both releases from his own label, Rising Music. One of the tracks is a snippet, and it looks like it still needs work before a proper release, but the Marco Lys track looks complete and is pretty decent. Enjoy!

New Size Records Release: Kris Menace - Phoenix/Triangle

Another Size Records preview, this time with Kris Menace. When I saw the name I remembered a track Kris Menace already remixed:
Monarchy - The Phoenix Alive (Kris Menace Mix)

But it's a completely new track, which was featured on BBC Radio 1's In New Music We Trust segment. Check it out:

The full release is expected sometime around the end of January, and it shows that Steve Angello's Size Records is aiming to become a leading name in house this year.
