I don't know how big Morgan Page is in the States, but I know that across the pond the man in severely under-appreciated. His production is flawless, and with the exception of his name popping up from time to time, he doesn't get the following he deserves. Funkagenda, (apart from having the coolest name ever), is a crazy producer. Funkagenda is signed on to Mark Knight's ToolRoom Knights label, and will be performing at Ministry of Sound on NYE. Funkagenda's style varies but he never fails to impress. I heard him live playing Sweet Fuck, which is a bootleg of Eurythmics' Sweet Dreams and his WTF tracks and it was insane. Dirty Vegas is also one the ToolRoom Knights label and his dropped this chiller, which Funkagenda jumped on: Dirty Vegas - Tonight - Mark Knight & Funkagenda (Radio Edit) As I said though, his style varies, to more techno-like sounds, and bounces back from progressive to electro. Funkagenda - Lmaoblade (Original Club Mix) Whenever he teams up with Mark Knight his sounds become much more chilled and less fist-pump material, but it still makes for a great listen. Dave Spoon - 88 (Mark Knight and Funkagenda Remix) Mark Knight feat. Funkagenda - Man With The Red Face (Original Club Mix) I appreciate house music producers that morph their music with classics. Something about it is so classy that it just deserves recognition. Having said that, so many try and fail and what is in my opinion an acquired skill. Funkagenda does it here and doesn't fail. The Clash - Rock The Casbah (Funkagenda Remix) aand my personal favourite: Dave Seaman & Funkagenda - The Mighty Ming (Original Club Mix) and if your'e interested: Mark Knight and Funkagenda live on the ToolRoom Knights radio show; this whole set is pure gold. Some people just cannot stop producing pure gold. And even if its not recent, it still deserves recognition. I feel that so many blogs are always rushing to put out tracks as soon as they hit the scene, and because there is so much music being thrown at us these days, sometimes we forget tracks that were really great and maybe only a couple of years old. This is a prime example. Steve Angello and Ingrosso produced this one two years ago, and it garnered huge acclaim as they played it live in all their SHM sets.
