Adam K - Don't Kick My Bag Bitch

Adam K, one of the freshest producers out of Canada is back at it again with a track titled 'Daun't Kick My Bag Bitch'. (Don't know why it's spelled that way, I'm just assuming it has to do with Canadian phonetics.) He says this about the track: "can't wait till you al hear the story behind this. anyways this is sort of a deadmau5 type tune. well more than sort". The track really does have that Deadmau5 vibe to it, but in my opinion there's something about this that's makes it slightly better.

The Glitch Mob Mix for The Hype Machine

This is a 2010 top songs list - of sorts. It features Nelly Furtado's Turn Off The Lights for one, and I wouldn't necessarily say that these are the top ten songs of 2010, and this is far from the musical style seen on their last mixtape, but what the hell. The mix was made for The Hype Machine, the famous music blog aggregator, using a list of 50 of the most blogged/most loved songs of the year. It's a good mix, including the likes of Kanye West, Swedish House Mafia, Deadmau5, and Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, so you've got a bit of everything. I've seen so many end of the year posts, featuring the best tracks, artists, albums, but Morgan Page does the what everyone failed to do, or at least failed to do with this quality. The LA-based DJ mixed a two-part podcast highlighting the best of twenty-ten, and it is phenomenal. Swedish House Mafia dominate, with members featuring on 6 of the 25 tracks, and Page wasn't so modest as to not include himself. He was generous though, and feel free to download it. Feed Me's Big Adventure!

What a name. Feed Me. I don't know how this guy came up with this alias but the music he produces under it is phenomenal. Feed Me has released his Big Adventure, which you can purchase here. His music is similar to Joel Zimmerman's except it is more heavy, which will suit a lot of people.

deadmau5 - raise your weapon

When 4 x 4 = 12 came out, everyone was too focused on Some Chords and Animal Rights to really focus on the rest of the album. This track is one of those that may have been overlooked. More vocals in this than in any other deadmau5 track I've heard, but it's pure class.

I'm pleasantly surprised to see deadmau5 releasing a track so quickly after the release of 4 x 4 = 12, but its more than welcome. This song is definitely a leak because its not even mentioned on the official deadmau5 site yet. Enjoy.

Jean Elan

I had never heard of Jean Elan before Klaas remixed 'Where's Your Head At?'.

The song is undeniably fist-pump material, and received huge airplay. After a bit of research (the man has no wikipedia page!), I found out that Jean Elan is actually a German residing in Berlin. Check out his biography on Facebook here. Jean Elan has been getting bigger and bigger. This year, Ministry of Sound's 'Clubbers' Guide 2010' was remixed by him and he was nominated for a Grammy for Best Remixer for this track:
Röyksopp feat Robyn - The Girl And The Robot (Jean Elan Remix)

He eventually lost out to David Guetta, but said this about it: "just the respect to be nominated with these other great international competitors, proves that I am on the right track with my ideas”. And he certainly is. Most recently he has mixed and compiled the Sensation - Celebrate Life (Germany 2011) 2CD Compilation which you can pre-order off iTunes. Anyways, enough with the chit-chat.
