Every blog puts up some sort of end of year post where they recognise the top albums, songs, artists, athletes, achievements, cars, or whatever they blog about. In all honesty, this winter break has been quite hectic and since this blog has been up for less than a month now, its not really feasible to create a huge post with in depth research of these things. So instead I'm putting together a 'songs I've wanted to post but haven't gotten the chance to post before' tracklist. It must be difficult living in the shadow of an older brother with the name of Steve Angello, but AN21 (real name Antione) makes it look easy. He's even got the guts to admit he wasn't a fan of his brother's music when they were growing up. He's currently releasing material with Max Vangeli through Angello's Size Records. Bob Sinclar (spelled Sinclar, yes, despite almost everyone's pronunciations), had a quiet year in comparison with the last few, but nonetheless came out with some massive tunes. New New New was produced in 2008, but Avicii, aka the revelation of 2010 tuned it up a bit: Bob Sinclar - New New New (Avicii Remix) 2010 didn't provide a lot of new material from Sinclar, because he was focusing on his 'Made In Jamaica' album, which served as a best-of-Bob-Sinclar but with a reggae twist. True to its name, the album is nominated for a Grammy in the Best Reggae Album. Why is Sinclar dabbling in reggae and not providing us with more house? I'm not sure but I'm pretty sure he's enjoying his time in Jamaica nonetheless. Here's one of the new tunes that featured on the album: Bob Sinclar feat. Shaggy & Sahara - I Wanna (Radio Edit) You can't really call it house, but whatever. Tik Tok features Sean Paul, but didn't make it on to Made In Jamaica. Benny Benassi, who for some reason is a Robert Downey Jr lookalike in this pic, is still pumping out hits at the tender age of 43. No matter, because if there was a House Hall of Fame, he would most certainly be inducted. This track is truly a work of art. Rarely does a track come along that merits so many repeats on one iTunes. The Glitch Mob is a group of three genii based in California. They are a trio of electronic/synth/dubstep/drum&bass/mash-up/pure gold producers who produced Drive It Like You Stole It. Check the original mix here.
